Pay: $50K-$60K
About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, service-focused IT Help Desk Specialist to join our hospice organization. This position provides day-to-day technical support to employees across the organization, helping ensure our clinical, administrative, and support teams have the technology they need to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families.
The ideal candidate is patient, professional, organized, and comfortable working with people who may have varying levels of technical experience. Experience supporting healthcare or hospice environments is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees by phone, email, chat, and in person.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and connectivity issues.
- Set up and configure computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Create, manage, and troubleshoot user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Assist employees with Microsoft 365, email, Teams, and other business applications.
- Install and update software and maintain workstations.
- Document help desk requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or outside vendors when appropriate.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including equipment setup and account access.
- Provide basic training and guidance to employees on technology and cybersecurity best practices.
- Help maintain a secure and reliable technology environment while protecting confidential patient and company information.
- Occasionally provide on-site support at hospice offices or other locations as needed.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; IT-related education or certification preferred.
- Previous help desk, technical support, or IT experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Familiarity with Windows computers, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, printers, and mobile devices.
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Healthcare or hospice IT experience is a plus.
